SECTORS OF A CIRCLE
The sector of a circle is a section of a circle is a "pizza slice" shaped section of the circle.
It is worthwhile realising that whenever we create a minor sector in a circle by drawing in two radii separated by an angle less than 180 degrees, we automatically create a major sector as well (the portion of the pizza that remains!)
The central angle of the major sector will be 360 degrees less the central angle of the minor sector! |
